What to expect from classes:
Recreational & Competition

Ballet I/II ** This Ballet Class is required for the Sapphire Competition Team Dancers **
  • ​This class is designed for beginner/Intermediate dancers to be develop ballet technique, focusing on alignment, posture, placement, and learning vocabulary. Ballet I/II and Ballet III will have a combined dance at Recital highlighting their different classes, and then ending as a whole group. 
Ballet III ** This Ballet Class is required for Emerald Team Dancers **
  • ​In this advanced class there is an emphasis on proper placement, and a strong focus on alignment, posture, placement, and vocabulary. Ballet I/II and Ballet III will have a combined dance at Recital highlighting their different classes, and then ending as a whole group. 
Beginner Hip Hop
  • This is a fun class for young dancers looking to explore the dance world of Hip Hop! (will have one recital dance)
Combinations Class
  • This class is designed for intermediate/Advanced level dancers. Students will have the opportunity to explore many styles of dance through learning different combos weekly. In the beginning of the year, dancers will be exposed to different styles of dance through learning choreography and by the end of the year, they will be choreographing their own combos, and will have the confidence to improv to any song that comes on. (This class will not have a recital dance)

Hip Hop I/II
  • This is a class for beginner/intermediate dancers. (will have one recital dance)
Jazz I/II
  • This is a class for beginner/intermediate dancers. (will have one recital dance) 
K-1st Combo (Ballet/Tap) 
  • For kids in kindergarten-1st grade looking to have some fun in dance class and learn basic ballet & tap steps with Miss Bri! (will have two recital dances)
Lyrical I/II
  • ​This is a class for beginner/intermediate dancers .(will have one recital dance) ​
​ Solo Slots (30 min.) 
  • Available for Competition solos, Recital-Only, or private technique classes. This should be discussed with Miss Bri at registration.​
Tap I/II
  • ​This is a beginner/intermediate class designed for dancers to learn basic tap steps and will have a focus on developing musicality. Tap I/II will perform in the June recital. (will have one recital dance)
​Technique (Mandatory for Competition Students)
Toddler and Me
  • This class is designed to help toddlers strengthen muscles which helps increase mobility and independence, and will expose little ones to new people which allows toddlers enhance social awareness. This class will give kids a sense of pride and accomplishment, increasing their overall confidence, which will be extremely beneficial for overall development and growth (Lopa, 2022). (Will not be performing in the recital)
Tumbling I/II 
  • This class will allow dancers/athletes who are interested in improving their tumbling skills or interested in learning the basics. Students will learn about body awareness and muscle control to progress through proper tumbling technique.  (There will not be a recital dance, this is just to learn new skills and develop proper technique for tumbling.)
​​2nd-3rd Grade Combo Class (Ballet, Jazz)
  • For kids in 2nd-3rd grade looking to have some fun in dance class and learn basic ballet & jazz steps! (will have two recital dances)
3-4 year old Combo (Ballet, Tap)
  • For little ones looking to get into a beginner dance class to gain independence and social skills as well as learn basic ballet & tap steps with Miss Angelina! (will have two recital dances)
Modern
  • Learn about the history of Modern dance with Miss Angelina! Modern Dance has similarities to classical ballet and is focused on basic human movement. This style of dance is aimed to expose basic human emotions through movement (Bedinghaus, 2018). (will have one recital dance)
